Hiking tip 1

Guided hike to the hunting lodge

A special highlight is a guided hike with boss Nicole followed by a picnic at the hunting lodge. In addition, chef Christian brings hunting enthusiasts closer to the mountain world of wild animals. Individual stalking hunts can be booked in combination with a stay.

Game species: chamois, red deer, roe deer and marmots.

In the hotel we offer our guests fresh and fine game specialties from the Bregenzerwald nature, game bacon, sausages and salami can also be taken home with us.

Hiking tip 2

A scenic journey through time between pastures, mountain farms, mountain pastures, alpine pastures and wild hay

The annual farming cycle in our region was and still is characterized by "nomadic" farming between the valley floor and alpine pastures. The Alpgang is dedicated to this traditional way of farming

.

Time and space become legible on the Alpgang. Texts on alpine life and the cultural landscape are set in stones. The hike takes you through 14 stations between Heimgut, Viehweide, Hutweide, Berggut, Heuwiesen, Vorsäß, Alpe, Hochalpe and Wildheumahd on the sunny side in Au. On the way to the mountain, people and societies gain in importance. Landscape becomes legible in time.
14 feet, in the Rehmer pasture not quite 5 cattle, mark the stone waymarks from Rehmen via Berngat and Berbigen, further over the saddle to the Liegstein. From Liegstein in the saddle back again and to Alpe Sattelegg, past Stöggele down to Wika. From Wika via Holand finally back to Rehmen. The signposts contain text panels on the landscape and everyday culture. For orientation, follow the small additional boards on the signposts along the alpine path.
